As you are heading north on 4th Avenue to Queen Anne from downtown Seattle you can't help pass by the Dahlia Bakery. Before 8am, there is plenty of parking for you to make a quick stop to pick up your favorites. If you haven't been there before, you may want to spend a few extra minutes to allow you to take it all in. When entering any Tom Douglass restaurant its always about the environment, and the Dahlia Bakery is not different with its wood grained exterior that welcomes you in. Along with the open bakery that you see in the back, and the display case filled with many goodies awaiting your selection, the place is also a minor retail space with books and other products that give you the opportunity to take the Tom Douglass and Dahlia Bakery experience home with you. Speaking of which, lunch sandwich specials are available, along with their signature sandwiches are on the board for you to pick. However, I was here to pick something for breakfast, so I just go myself an egg sandwich with ham and a cup of black coffee to go. Call me boring, but when you get there, you will be able to fall into your pattern of go to pastries, like their strawberry rhubarb pie, or my (other) personal favorite an almond croissant. As the many signs suggest -- don't forget to get PIE! It may think it's hype, but get the coconut cream pie. It is the real deal. Can't wait to go back! Dahlia Lounge it is!

Came in for breakfast, everything was super delicious! We got the famous coconut pie, the cinnamon roll, and a few other breakfast items! Everything was delicious!

I wish I would have tried this on the first day in Seattle. We had breakfast there on our last day. I ordered the egg and bacon sandwich which was excellent and my husband had the breakfast burger and he said it was excellent. We also had the blueberry lemon pound cake and Earl Gray cold brew, chef kiss! You can sit inside the Serious Pie to eat your breakfast, after 11a.m. you will need to sit either at the bar or outside if it is open. We'll be back when we visit Seattle again! Sorry no picture of the blueberry lemon pound cake, maybe next time.

I flew into town this morning for a conference and lunch was a must! After some wandering downtown I found Dahlia Bakery right next to Serious Pies. I ordered the Bacon & Egg English Muffin and an order of the Dahlia Donuts aka Beignets. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The Beignets are waaaay better than a certain Cafe in New Orleans. They were light, fluffy, great texture and flavor. Highly suggest you try this place and for Goodness sake, order the Beignet's! Trust me on this one.

While staying in the area, we walked over to Dahlia Bakery and quickly understood why it’s considered one of Seattle’s iconic bakery stops. The atmosphere felt very “Seattle” — cozy, bustling, and full of the smell of fresh pastries and coffee. Their famous Triple Coconut Cream Pie absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich without being overly heavy, fresh whipped cream, toasted coconut, and one of those desserts you keep thinking about later. We also grabbed a few other bakery items and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect after exploring downtown or walking the waterfront area. Convenient location, friendly service, and a fun selection of pastries and sweet treats. Definitely worth the stop if you’re visiting Seattle and want a classic local bakery experience.

Stopped by Dahlia Bakery for breakfast and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. I ordered the breakfast burger along with Dahlia’s donuts (beignets), and the breakfast burger absolutely stole the show. It was so good I could honestly see myself eating it for every meal. Everything about it just worked. The flavors, the balance, and how satisfying it was overall. The donuts were also excellent. Light, fluffy, and really enjoyable, but I’ll admit I found myself wishing there were just a bit more of them. They felt more like a perfect add-on than something that could stand on their own as a full portion. Service was quick and efficient. The line moved fast and I had my food within about 5 to 10 minutes, which made it perfect whether you’re grabbing something on the go or sticking around to eat. The atmosphere added to the experience. The storefront is fun and inviting, with covered outdoor seating that came in clutch since it rained the entire time I was in Seattle. Inside felt quaint with a really good overall vibe. If I’m ever back in Seattle, this will absolutely be a repeat stop

Cozy bakery, food was excellent and the guy that took our order the first time was so kind. The food was some of the cheapest you could find in seattle. Their desserts all looked gorgeous. I had a mochi donut with my sandwich and soup and the donut was soo good I went back to the counter to get a second. The donuts are $4.5 but definitely worth it and my sandwich was $10. Those mochi donuts are so soft and yummy, I went back again the next day just to get a donut. My favorite donut is the earl gray with raspberry icing!

Ordered the veggie breakfast sandwich. A good balance of egg, veggies, and sauce. It paired well and tasted amazing. The English muffin was crispy yet soft inside. Birthday cookie was pretty good, perfect amount of sweetness for my taste. The sprinkles were the perfect crunch on the sugar cookies and the filling was like a thicker whip cream. Just wish the cookie was a tad bit softer.

Great! Not your typical mochi donuts. They’re thicker, but still the signature sponginess. Amazing. Also, the blueberry rosemary tart changed my life and will haunt me evermore.
